Volquest 2-Minute Drill: UTEP pregame

Tennessee has its home finale on Saturday afternoon as they battle UTEP. The Volquest 2-Minute Drill delivers observations on senior day and thoughts on the matchup.
Saturday will also serve as Senior Day the Volunteers (8-2) as the celebrations are set to take place 30 minutes prior to kickoff at 12:30 p.m. eastern time.
Of the 33 eligible players who could take part in the Senior Day festivities, 25 Vols will do so. These individuals are either COVID seniors, redshirt seniors, four-year seniors or redshirt juniors. A quick reminder that just because a certain player takes part in the Senior Day celebrations doesn’t mean they are done at Tennessee or in college football. There will be on-going conversations and evaluations as it is truly a case-by-case situation between the player and the program to determine if they want to exercise their remaining eligibility, for those who possess it. One name that won’t go through with the possibility of winning an appeal for one more season is Andrej Karic.
UTEP, which started the season with six straight losses, is 2-2 over its last four games, beating Florida International 30-21 in El Paso on October 16 and beating Kennesaw State 43-35 in double overtime at home on November 9.
