The USC Trojans famously landed 20 players via the transfer portal during Lincoln Riley's first offseason with the program. That group included a future Heisman Trophy winner, former Biletnikoff Award winner, a first-team all-conference defender, a second-team all-conference offensive player and several other impact players. It also included two players who were elected team captains in 2022 and a number of others who immediately became veteran leaders of their respective position groups. The numbers aren't quite the same this season. USC brought in 11 transfers in time for spring ball and has a commitment from another who will join the program this summer. But the impact is similar.
