USC head coach Lincoln Riley released his first depth chart for the 2022 Trojans in the early hours of Thursday morning. That kept with his stated timeline of using all the information gathered from the physical Tuesday and Wednesday practices before announcing the projected starters and two-deep. There were some guarantees, like Caleb Williams starting at quarterback, Jordan Addison starting at one of the receiver spots and Tuli Tuipulotu slotted at defensive end. But there were some surprises as well. Here are a few takeaways from this first edition of the depth chart heading into USC's Saturday season-opener against Rice.
