In my humble opinion, USC cardinal and gold views on what I see, what I hear, and what I think from Los Angeles…Nobody asked me, but… In what could have ended up being a consequential moment in Lincoln Riley’s pursuit of quarterbacks, former Alabama true freshman QB Julian Sayin, a class of 2024 Five-Star Plus+ selection and a native of local Carlsbad (CA) High, officially announced on Sunday after entering the transfer portal that he is transferring to Ohio State... Julian Sayin was said to be strongly looking at Ohio State, but the Trojans were in the mix. Coming out of Carlsbad, Sayin, whose brother played QB at Penn, was never really a USC possibility, as he was Alabama through and through and signed early with Nick Saban’s monster program. With the departure of Nick Saban and the arrival of Kalen DeBoer from Washington, the dynamics obviously changed for Sayin (photo below), and being a local SoCal player of note, there was some thought given that Lincoln Riley might go for the recruiting kill shot…
