Last season Merritt took his first trip to Los Angeles to see the Trojans play Washington. The Huskies beat USC 52-42 and the following day Lincoln Riley fired defensive coordinator Alex Grinch. This gave us a unique situation after an un official visit, but the change in defensive coordinators will likely help the Trojans with their chances to get Merritt.
