The Obvious: Cardinal and Gold fans of the No. 9 USC Trojans (5-1 Pac-12, 7-1 overall) haven't been able to watch their beloved cardinal and gold in its fabled Coliseum venue since Oct. 8, so there is added excitement as the Men of Troy make their November debut by entertaining the Cal Bears (1-4 Pac-12, 3-5 overall) on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. To add some added flavor to the festivities, it’s also Troy's Homecoming Game.  The Not So Obvious: Heading into the fourth week since the Trojans (now 5-1 Pac-12, 7-1 overall) were last seen in the Coliseum beating Washington State, 30-14, cardinal and gold fans today see a team that is No. 9 in the country and ready to throw down their gauntlet in November in hopes of reaching the Pac-12 title game and perhaps even more riches. The Trojans have come a long way since 2021’s disastrous 4-8 conclusion and obviously no bowl game. With four games left (Cal, Colorado, at UCLA, and Notre Dame), it’s all there for the taking.
