The Obvious: No question the Trojans have a lot of recruiting momentum, especially coming out of the transfer portal at specific offensive skill positions. The Not So Obvious: However, like the old Wendy’s Hamburger commercial, Trojans' fans have been asking and pleading, “Where’s the beef?" Despite the impressive offensive portal additions of quarterback Caleb Williams, running backs Travis Dye and Austin Jones, and receivers like Mario Williams, there had been just one portal transfer offensive lineman, Bobby Haskins, formerly of the University of Virginia. That was, however, until late Thursday when Butler Community College offensive lineman Cooper Lovelace (6-5, 325), through his social media site, announced he was going to be a Trojan. Nobody knew better than Lincoln Riley and his staff that the Trojans needed to add additional beef on the offensive line. For the record, Lovelace, who will have two years of eligibility remaining, became the 17th Trojans portal transfer.
