USC wide receiver Terrell Bynum signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers following the 2023 NFL Draft.

Bynum will head to the Chargers along with USC teammate Tuli Tuipulotu, who was selected by the team in the second round. Bynum will also have a chance to stay close to home as he attempts to make an NFL roster. He attended St. John Bosco and Servite High School before spending five years at Washington.

Bynum was one of the many transfers USC brought in during Lincoln Riley’s first offseason.

In three years on the field with the Huskies, Bynum caught 65 passes for 934 yards and six touchdowns. In his one year with the Trojans, he was part of a crowded wide receiver room. He was one of four wide receiver transfers USC brought in. But the other three were able to make more sizable impacts in terms of statistics.

Bynum finished this past season with 16 receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown. His most productive game for the Trojans came in a six-catch, 60-yard performance against Cal. Byum’s touchdown grab came in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, against Tulane.

Now, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound will remain in Los Angeles as one of 18 undrafted free agents signed by the Chargers.

He’s joined by a few other Pac-12 players, including UCLA tight end Michael Ezeike and Colorado defensive lineman Terrance Lang.

Bynum Draft Prep Numbers

Bynum wasn’t invited to the NFL Combine, but he did every drill at USC’s Pro Day.

Here’s a look at the numbers he posted that day.

40-yard: 4.5 seconds

Bench press: 15 reps

Vertical jump: 35 inches

Shuttle: 4.19 seconds

3-cone: 6.97 seconds

His 3-cone drill time was faster than the one posted by Jordan Addison that day. And his shuttle was just .04 seconds slower.
