In 2022 then ASU DL Jermayne Lole hit the transfer portal after head coach Herm Edwards resigned amid an NCAA investigation into major recruiting violations. At that time we thought USC would become a major player, but for a variety of reasons it didn’t develop for the Trojans.

Last week Lole informed WeAreSC of his intentions to enter the portal this week. This time USC is definitely involved and seriously interested in the former Long Beach (CA) Poly standout.

Lole will take multiple visits, including a visit to USC.

Oklahoma- April 19
Washington- April 22
Texas A&M – April 24
USC -April 26

Pittsburgh Edge Dayon Hayes

On3’s Hayes Fawcett revealed on Monday that Pitt Edge Dayon Hayes plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.

USC is among the schools showing interest and definitely a player to watch early on and WeAreSC will continuously update you on Hayes and Lole.

Hayes, who just concluded his senior year with the Panthers, put together an impressive 2023 campaign. The six-foot-three Pittsburgh, PA native played in 12 games last season, recording eleven starts. With those eleven starts, Hayes put together his best statistical year with the Panthers, recording 45 total tackles, 25 solo, 10.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, four passes defended, and one fumble.

The second NCAA transfer portal window for college football opens officially on April 16.

If this is indeed Hayes’s farewell to the Pittsburgh program, he will be leaving on a high note with some respectable career numbers. As a Panther, he has 81 total tackles, 45 solo power, 25.5 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks over a 39-game span.

As of Wednesday night, Hayes has official visits scheduled withUSC for April 19-21 and Colorado for April 21-22.
