USC offensive lineman Andrew Milek entered his name into the transfer portal on Wednesday, becoming the eleventh Trojan to do so this offseason.

Milek signed with the Trojans as a three-star prospect out of Phoenix Brophy High in the 2020 recruiting class. He worked at center early in his career before shifting to guard this past spring. Milek played in one game at center as a true freshman in 2020, then saw most of his time come on special teams. He played in 12 games during both the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Milek dealt with some early-season injuries in 2023, but played in 10 games this year, mostly on special teams. His one extended appearance on the offensive line came against Stanford.

USC will look to a group of five 2023 offensive line signees to quickly step up this offseason and become 2024 contributors. That includes interior offensive linemen Alani Noa, Micah Banuelos and Amos Talalele.

Milek’s departure is another blow to USC’s 2020 recruiting class, which was light on numbers and finished No. 49 nationally and No. 9 in the Pac-12. Of the 12 signees in that class, just four now have the ability to finish their careers with the Trojans. Defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu played three years and left as a second-round NFL draft pick. Offensive lineman Jonah Monheim is a multi-year starter and has yet to announce whether he will return or leave for the NFL. Defensive lineman Kobe Pepe entered the transfer portal last offseason but remained on the USC roster throughout the 2023 season. And offensive lineman Andres Dewerk is still with the Trojans, though he played in just three games this season.

Wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr., cornerback Josh Jackson, defensive lineman Jamar Sekona, kicker Parker Lewis and offensive linemen Courtland Ford, Caadyn Stephen and Casey Collier all left the USC roster via transfer or other reasons before their eligibility expired.
