Albany transfer EDGE Anton Juncaj commits to Arkansas
Arkansas has landed a commitment from former Albany EDGE Anton Juncaj out of the transfer portal, he announced via social media. He took a visit to Fayetteville earlier this week before committing.
Juncaj was an FCS All-American this past season, totaling 21.5 tackles for loss and 15 sacks as part of his massive campaign. He’ll look to make an impact on the Arkansas defense right away after making his decision, and it’s a big boost for Travis Williams’ unit.
The 2024 season will be a big one for the Razorbacks after a 4-8 record in 2023. Arkansas ranked tied for eighth in the SEC with 357.2 yards allowed per game, and the 27.9 points per game allowed ranked 12th out of 14 teams in the league.
Anton Juncaj’s addition will be a big one for the defense, which also has linebacker Xavian Sorey coming in from Georgia. He checks in as the No. 9-ranked linebacker to enter the portal so far this cycle, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.
