Arizona quarterback Brayden Dorman has announced his plan to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Dorman played high school football at Vista Ridge (CO) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 361 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 22 quarterback in the class and the No. 2 player in the state of Colorado.

He did not play for the Wildcats in 2023 and will have full eligibility following his transfer. However, he did not rule out a return to Arizona next season.

“First and foremost I would like to say I absolutely love the University of Arizona and all that it has to offer,” he began. “All of the relationships I have built here will last a lifetime. It has been an absolute honor to be a part of such a special program. I want to thank all of my coaches and teammates this past year. I have to utmost respect for every individual associated with Arizona football.

“With that being said I will be entering the transfer portal with 4 years of eligibility, but I am open to return to Arizona. I am putting my faith in God’s hands to guide me in the right direction.”
