Arkansas DB Lorando Johnson enters NCAA transfer portal

Arkansas starting defensive back Lorando Johnson has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

Johnson, who also goes by Snaxx, recorded 29 tackles, four tackles for loss and an interception last season.

He transferred into Arkansas last offseason after starting his career at Baylor.

Johnson was rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 33 cornerback in the class of 2021, according to the On3 Industry rankings.

Prior to beginning his college career, Lorando Johnson attended Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Texas. He had two interceptions and seven pass breakups as a senior.

Johnson redshirted during his freshman season at Baylor in 2020, before playing in eight games and making one start as a redshirt freshman in 2021. He finished the year with four tackles.

In 2022, Johnson played and started in 12 games, finished with 16 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup. After that year, he transferred to Arkansas.

During his first and only season with the Razorbacks, Johnson started all 12 games and was a key piece in the secondary. Now he is leaving Arkansas and is looking for his third school.

Arkansas offensive lineman Paris Patterson enters NCAA transfer portal

Lorando Johnson is the second Arkansas player in as many days to leave the program, joining offensive lineman Paris Patterson.

spent just one season in Fayetteville but redshirted and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

As a recruit, Patterson was a three-star prospect out of East Saint Louis (IL) High School. He ranked as the No. 582 overall player and No. 55 inside offensive lineman in the 2023 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Paris Patterson is the fourth Arkansas offensive lineman to enter the transfer portal this offseason. He joins Devon ManuelAndrew Chamblee and Joey Su’a.

Overall, the Razorbacks have seen 31 players enter the transfer portal while adding 14. They rank No. 30 overall and No. 8 in the SEC according to On3’s Team Transfer Portal Rankings.

It hasn’t all been bad news for Arkansas, as it has also brought in four offensive lineman through the portal. That includes former Tennessee offensive lineman Addison Nichols, the No. 200 overall player in On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings.
