Former Clemson guard Josh Beadle will transfer to play for Boston College in 2024-25, he announced Sunday afternoon on Instagram. He spent the past three seasons with the Tigers and will have two more years of eligibility remaining.

Beadle appeared in 32 games this past season to average 3.0 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists across 10.8 minutes per contest. He had his best outing of the year in Jan. 20 against Florida State to score a career high 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting.

Beadle redshirted his true freshman season in 2021-22 to maintain a season of eligibility that he can now use to spend two seasons at Boston College. He went on to play 33 games with two starts the following season as a redshirt freshman.

Beadle played high school basketball for Cardinal Newman High in Columbia, South Carolina. He was unranked in the 2021 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Now he will move away from his home state to join a Boston College team that finished this past season 20-16 to reach the NIT. The Eagles are set to return leading scorer Quinten Post, who averaged 17.0 points and 8.1 rebounds this past season.

Josh Beadle is one of three Clemson players to enter the transfer portal thus far along with RJ Godfrey and Jack Clark. The Tigers are coming off of an Elite Eight appearance this past season that marked their first since 1980.

Clemson forward RJ Godfrey enters transfer portal

Clemson’s RJ Godfrey has entered his name into the transfer portal.

Godfrey has spent the past two seasons at Clemson and appeared in 69 games in that time, including one start as a freshman.

In his career, Godfrey has averaged 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 59.5% in just over a dozen minutes a game.

Godfrey played high school basketball at North Gwinnett in Georgia. He was a three-star prospect there and the No. 170 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as a Top-50 SF and the No. 6 player out of Georgia.
