Bowling Green transfer DB Jalen Huskey commits to Maryland
Bowling Green transfer defensive back Jalen Huskey committed to the Maryland Terrapins, he announced on his Instagram page on Sunday evening.
He brought home first team All-MAC honors this year, after he racked up 52 tackles and four interceptions. Huskey started all 12 games this season, racking up a career-high 10 tackles against the Liberty Flames. In 2022, he saw action in nine of Bowling Green’s 13 games, tallying seven tackles for the season.
In high school, Huskey played corner and wide receiver for Quince Orchard High School. He helped guide them to a state championship in 2021, after they finished with a 14-0 record. Huskey snatched the game-sealing interception in the 2021 state championship game that gave them the 31-13 victory.
Before joining Quince Orchard as a senior, Huskey played for Middletown High School and helped lead them to a 2019 state championship. He hauled in a 65-yard touchdown pass in the opening minutes of the 2019 state title game and also snatched two interceptions on defense.
