San Jose State transfer linebacker Bryun Parham is quickly making portal plans.

The junior picked up an offer from Washington on Monday and has scheduled a visit to Seattle on Friday, he tells On3. With one year of eligibility remaining, he can play immediately. The decision to enter the transfer portal comes after Brent Brennan left San Jose State for the Arizona job, triggering a 30-day portal window for the Spartans.

Knowing how Jedd Fisch turned Arizona into a contender has Parham excited to spend time with the new Huskies coaching staff.

“Just how quickly they jumped in on me and contacted me and the good things I’ve heard about the school and staff,” he said. “They made Arizona a contender.”

Parham earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention this past season, finishing second in the conference with 60 solo tackles. He’s posted 199 career total tackles with 11 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. He’s also forced turnovers with three forced fumbles and an interception.

Arizona produced one of the top linebackers in the Pac-12 this past season in Jacob Manu, who earned First-Team All-Conference honors. One of the most dominant linebackers in the country, Parham knows the new Washington coaching staff can continue to develop him.

“They had Jacob Manu who played well, so I trust how they develop linebackers,” the San Jose State transfer said.

A three-star prospect coming out of Long Beach Poly, he officially entered the transfer portal on Monday. The decision comes after this past weekend’s news that former Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo had been hired as Brennan‘s successor at San Jose State. He put together a 109–83 overall record in 16 seasons with the Midshipmen. He’s set to move away from his running the triple option offense for a more modern offensive scheme.
