Portal Update 12/06

Duke running back Jordan Waters plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he announced Wednesday on his Instagram. Waters has spent the past five seasons with the Blue Devils and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Waters had his best season this past year in helping lead Duke to a 7-5 record. He led the team with 871 yards rushing to go along 11 touchdowns. He also had 23 catches for 175 yards and another score.

Jordan Waters is sure to be one of the top running back targets in the transfer portal after a career in which he managed 1,624 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns. His numbers from this season ranked him ninth in the ACC among running backs.

As a recruit, Waters was a three-star prospect out of Fairmont (NC) High School. He ranked as the No. 1,155 overall player and No. 99 running back in the 2019 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
