Former Oregon tight end Casey Kelly will transfer to East Carolina, the team announced Tuesday on Twitter. Kelly spent just one season with the Ducks in 2023 after transferring from Ole Miss and has one year of eligibility remaining.

The tight end appeared in 13 games this past season at Oregon to finish with five catches for 43 yards and two touchdowns. Kelly played 34 games while with the Rebels from 2019-2022, recording 28 catches for 282 yards and three touchdown in Oxford.

Kelly played high school football for Mallard Creek in Buffalo, New York, where he was a quarterback. He was unranked in the 2019 cycle before committing to Ole Miss as a walk-on. He earned a scholarship in the 2022 season.

Casey Kelly is also the younger brother of former Rebels quarterback Chad Kelly, who played with the team from 2013-16. He joins an ECU team that is coming off of a 2-10 season and will aim for more playing time as he tries to help the offense improve.
