Alabama transfer quarterback Eli Holstein is taking an official visit to Pitt this weekend, sources tell On3.

The No. 84 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle and a four-star prospect, Holstein did not see playing time this year with the Crimson Tide. The true freshman quarterback was fifth on the depth chart and Alabama expecting to return Jalen MilroeTy Simpson and Dylan Lonergan. Plus the top-ranked quarterback in the 2024 cycle, Julian Sayin, is enrolling early in Tuscaloosa.

The Panthers finished this past season 3-9, struggling at the quarterback position. Eli Holstein would provide a major upgrade. Pitt is viewed as the favorite to land the former highly-touted recruit.
