Florida transfer DB Jalen Kimber commits to Louisville
Louisville has landed a commitment from a former starter on the Florida defense. Jalen Kimber has announced that he is transferring to play for the Cardinals.
Kimber played in all 12 games and made 11 starts for the Gators this past season. He finished the year with 23 tackles and was second on the team with five pass breakups.
Jalen Kimber is transferring for the second time as he started his career at Georgia, signing with the Bulldogs in the class of 2020. He was ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 116 overall player in the country in that class, according to the On3 Industry rankings.
As a true freshman in 2020, Kimber appeared in three games. He saw action in one game in 2021 and made one tackle, before being lost for the year with an injury. Kimber announced last week that he was entering the transfer portal for the second time.
From there, Kimber transferred to Florida. He played in all 13 games in 2022, before moving into a starting role in 2023.
