Transfer Portal 12/11

After two seasons at Florida, QB Max Brown has announced that he will be playing for Charlotte next season.

Brown shared his commitment out of the transfer portal in a tweet on Monday evening.

After redshirting as a freshman in Gainesville, Brown played in six games this season for the Gators. In total, he went 19-28 (67.9%) for 192 yards and an interception. That included an important start, his lone opportunity to do so, in place of Graham Mertz against Florida State. In that 24-15 loss to the Seminoles, he went 9-16 (56.3%) for 86 yards and the pick.

Brown then elected to enter the portal at the opening of the window.

Brown played high school football at Lincoln Christian School (OK) where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,066 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as the No. 62 QB and a Top-25 player out of Oklahoma in his class.
