Indiana defensive lineman Philip Blidi has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos.

Blidi is a senior for the Hoosiers, spending just the 2023 season with the program after transferring in from Texas Tech. He racked up considerable experience with the Red Raiders in three seasons before hitting the NCAA transfer portal for the first time.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman started in 11 games for the Hoosiers during his lone season with the program. He recorded 30 tackles, 4.0 tackles for a loss and one pass defended in 2023.

From 2020-22 at Texas Tech, Blidi appeared in 34 games.

During that time in Lubbock, Blidi was responsible for 39 tackles, 6.0 tackles for a loss and 2.0 sacks. He appeared for 217 snaps during his junior season, according to Pro Football Focus.

Seeking a transfer for the second time, Blidi will likely be able to help a program as a plug-and-play type guy on the interior of the defensive line. He has considerable experience at this point.

Sparks appeared in 24 games with two starts this past season. He averaged 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Sparks came to Indiana after transferring in from Ball State last March. He averaged 13.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game at Ball State in 2022-23.
