Kansas State safety Kobe Savage enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Kansas State safety Kobe Savage entered the Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. The veteran DB recorded 115 tackles and six interceptions over two years in Manhattan.

Savage was one of the Big 12’s top defensive backs over the last two seasons, but the load to such success wasn’t so easy. He’s a Texas native and attended Paris High School in Tyler, TX, committing to Texas A&M Commerce after graduating.

Kobe Savage only spent one year in little Commerce, which he redshirted, before back home to play for Tyler Junior College. He played two seasons for the Hawks and earned status as a three-star JUCO recruit in the On3 Industry Rankings, which helped get him the opportunity at Kansas State. Obviously, he knocked that out of the park and will have a host of suitors after him. That northeast corner of Texas does seem to be a spot he keeps coming back to, though.
