Louisville cornerback Derrick Edwards enters NCAA transfer portal
Louisville defensive back Derrick Edwards has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.
Edwards enters the portal following three seasons with the Cardinals program. After redshirting his freshman season and making one game appearance in 2022 versus Syracuse, Edwards made 11 game appearances for Louisville in 2023 recording five tackles.
Edwards played high school football at Cocoa (FL) Space Coast, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,125 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
