Marshall transfer defensive lineman Elijah Alston tells On3 that he has committed to Miami. He recently decommitted from Texas A&M.

The third-team All-Sun Belt selection this season has one year of eligibility remaining and can play immediately. According to the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings, he’s the No. 3 defensive lineman available.

The Marshall transfer tallied 45 total tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss in 13 games this season. He also posted six sacks and forced two fumbles. Alston returned an interception for 85 yards and a touchdown, too.

A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, the 6-foot-2, 256-pound lineman picked Miami over Boston College.
