Old Dominion transfer wide receiver Javon Harvey recently committed to the Texas A&M Aggies a few weeks ago. On Saturday, he changed his mind and decided he’s going to play with Maalik Murphy and the Duke Blue Devils. He announced the flip of his commitment on his Instagram page and Twitter page.

He hauled in 500 receiving yards last year for the Old Dominion Monarchs. Since the Aggies landed two commitments at the receiver position in the transfer portal, the switch of his commitment was expected.

Harvey spent the first four years of his career with the Monarchs, recording 70 catches for 1,063 and seven touchdowns in the past three seasons after redshirting as a freshman. He’s appeared in 34 games and made 23 starts in his career for Old Dominion.

Harvey played high school football at Norfolk (VA) Lake Taylor, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 2,842 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
