Stanford big man Maxime Raynaud has entered the NCAA transfer portal. He spent the past three seasons with the Cardinal and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Raynaud started in 31 of 32 games he appeared in this past season to lead the team with 15.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. He ranked third in the Pac-12 with a field goal percentage of 56.7%.

Raynaud arrived at Stanford in the 2021-22 season from France, where he was a teammate of San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama on Espoirs Nanterre. He was a member of the French national team and won a gold medal at the FIBA U-20 European Championships in Greece in 2023.

Raynaud made an immediate impact as a true freshman to average 4.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. It wasn’t until this year that he broke double digits in points per game, as he took a massive step forward.

Standing 7-foot-1, Raynaud also possesses range for a player his size with a career average of 34.6% from 3-point range. He’ll surely be a valuable addition for whichever team decides to pick him up.

Stanford is coming off of a 14-18 finish this past season and fired coach Jerod Haase. Maxime Raynaud isn’t the only Cardinal player to enter the transfer portal since then, and we’ll see how many more follow suit.

Stanford freshman Adrej Stojakovic plans to enter transfer portal

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Stanford freshman and former blue-chip recruit Andrej Stojakovic plans to enter the transfer portal.

Here was Tipton’s tweet announcing that news:

“NEWS: Stanford guard Andrej Stojaković, the son of former NBA Champion and 3x All-Star Peja Stojaković, plans to enter the transfer portal, he tells @On3sports. The former McDonald’s All-American and top-25 recruit averaged 7.8 PPG as a freshman with the Cardinal this season.”

Stojakovic’s decision comes after Stanford decided to part ways with longtime head coach Jerod Haase. In one season at Stanford under Haase, Stojakovic mostly came off the bench but did start 10 games. Despite modest scoring numbers, a former recruit of his pedigree (No. 24 in the On3 rankings) will be very in-demand this offseason with three years still to play.
