Troy transfer DL Theodore Jackson commits to West Virginia
Troy transfer defensive lineman Theodore Jackson has committed to West Virginia, he announced via social media. He spent three years with the Trojans before entering the transfer portal.
Jackson had his most impressive year with Troy in 2022 when he earned First Team All-Sun Belt recognition. He totaled 55 tackles along with 14.5 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks as part of his massive season. This past year, his numbers dipped to 26 tackles with 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 12 games.
At Troy, Theodore Jackson played both defensive tackle and defensive end for the Trojans. Now, he’ll take that versatility to West Virginia.
West Virginia is coming off an impressive turnaround season, capped off by a victory over North Carolina in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. The Mountaineers had a 9-4 record one year removed from a 5-7 campaign, which saw Neal Brown’s seat heat up. It’s safe to say he silenced that chatter, and he’s continuing to add to the roster to keep that momentum.
