Virginia guard Leon Bond has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

The redshirt freshman appeared in 24 games for UVA this season, averaging 4.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists. He scored in double figures for the Cavaliers three times this season, and logged a career-high 16 points in the Nov. 14 win over North Carolina A&T.

He is a former top-70 recruit out of the 2022 class, and was listed as a small forward at the time of his commitment. He was the No. 20 SF in his class, according to the On3 Industry Ratings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

During his high school career, Bond was a four-year letter winner out of Wauwatosa East (WI) High School where he averaged 21.1 points and 7.0 rebounds during his senior season in 2022. He was named to the Wisconsin Division I All-State First Teams and Greater Metro All-Conference First Team as well. After averaging 11.8 points as a junior the year prior, Bond made a massive jump in his game and saw him be awarded with McDonald’s All-American nominee honors.

Bond ultimately chose Virginia because of head coach Tony Bennett and the entire staff being the most genuine to him. He was recruited by Marquette, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, UW-Milwaukee (where his father played), St. Thomas and Texas A&M, choosing the Cavaliers over the lot.

Clemson forward Jack Clark enters NCAA Transfer Portal

The Clemson Tigers men’s basketball team has lost one of their members to the NCAA Transfer Portal on Friday. Power forward Jack Clark officially entered the portal on Friday afternoon, On3’s Jamie Shaw has learned. He averaged 4.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game this season in 23.5 minutes of work. He’ll have an extra year of eligibility because of the COVID-19 waiver.

He played in 25 games this season for Clemson after transferring from N.C. State. Clark pumped in seven points in 29 minutes during the Tigers’ Elite Eight loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

He was an important rebounder for the Tigers, grabbing eight boards in each of their first two NCAA Tournament games (New Mexico and Baylor). The eight rebounds against Baylor in the Sweet 16 were absolutely massive, considering that game was close (Clemson only won 72-64).
