Fans following recruiting are likely putting most of their focus onto the 2024 cycle. However, 2025 recruits have also made some noise over the last few months.

While a majority of the top 2025 recruits have yet to commit, others have resulting in a few standout schools early on in the cycle. The updated 2025 On300 was released Monday and of the 300 recruits who landed on that list, 23 are already committed.

Only four programs so far have landed more one blue-chip commitment for the cycle. Here’s a look at those four who have built some momentum towards building a top-10 recruiting class.

Georgia Bulldogs

Commitments: 5
Avg. Rating Per Commit: 94.58
On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking: No. 1

No team has gotten off to a start to the 2025 recruiting cycle quite like the Georgia Bulldogs. Four-star running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman became the Bulldogs’ first 2025 pledge with his commitment on July 11. Since then Georgia’s added commitments from four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte, four-star offensive tackle Micah DeBose, four-star defensive lineman Justus Terry and top-15 tight end Elyiss Williams.

Alabama Crimson Tide

Commitments: 3
Avg. Rating Per Commit: 93.51
On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking: No. 2

Alabama may not have as many commitments in its 2025 class as Georgia but the Crimson Tide currently have the highest-ranked commitment of the class. Five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams announced his pledge to Alabama last October. Williams was their line commitment until April when they landed a pair of pledges from four-star interior offensive linemen Mason Short and Dontrell Glover.

Penn State Nittany Lions

Commitments: 2
Avg. Rating Per Commit: 88.02
On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking: No. 3

Penn State kicked off its 2025 recruiting class with a commitment from top-100 offensive tackle Jaelyne Matthews. Four-star running back Kiandrea Barker became the Nittany Lions’ second 2025 blue-chip commit a few months later with his pledge on April 16. The Nittany Lions also have a commitment from safety Omari Gaines.

Oklahoma Sooners

Commitments: 2
Avg. Rating Per Commit: 93.59
On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking: No. 4

Oklahoma’s 2024 class took some time getting started as the Sooners didn’t land their first 2024 pledge until two months ago. The same can’t be said for their 2025 class as the Sooners already have a pair of commitments from four-star wide receiver Gracen Harris and four-star quarterback Kevin Sperry. Sperry committed to the Sooners on March 13 and Harris announced his commitment just under two months later on May 1.
