Maybe Frank knew this was coming and hightailed it to Texas.

Where is the SMH like? Now we get to see if he stays on the roster.

They can use his mug shot for his pic. Really stupid move to make before he gets the NIL money. Now he gets a nice campus apartment at the local jail, but he didn't get disrespected. That's the ticket.

food and housing is paid for...an outdoor gym. Even has a local social room for games and tv shows.

They being straight up, or is that a semi sarcastic remark about 8 years in high school?

Sounds like he was headed for a Baylor/Alabama kind of life anyway. Only way it could have served Memphis any right'er would be if he was a star in a year or two when he did this kind of act.

From CBS sports:

“Memphis basketball signee and top-20 recruit Mikey Williams was arrested Thursday on felony weapon charges in his hometown of San Diego, the San Diego Sheriff's department confirmed to CBS8 News on Friday. Williams, one of the best guard prospects in the 2023 recruiting class and a social media star with millions of followers across multiple platforms, was released in the early morning hours Friday on $50,000 bail.”

He had a huge deal with Puma. Presumably used his NIL money for bail.

Morant got a sweet deal when he did this.

Memphis pays NIL for bail?

They already paid him? Wow! Money down the drain. Could never play a minute for them.

I don’t know if he’s moved but he has supposedly taken an assistant’s job at the University of Texas under HC Rodney Terry.

I’d need to do more research but I’m pretty certain he got the puma deal before committing to Memphis.

From what I’ve read, that is correct.

Ok, waste of money for someone who might never play college or pro ball. I guess they have enough in the ad budget that it's water under the bridge for them.

Unless the company claws back the money somehow for behavior violations.
