Official ‘26 PSU - Marshall Game Thread

I honestly have no idea what to expect, but I’m rooting for this team like the homer I am!
If patterns from ISU transfer over to PSU, Campbell’s teams start kind of slow and seem to get better as the season goes on (except last year when they were riddled with injuries). With that and the fact that we’re installing a new offense for PSU and a new defense for everyone, I expect this game to go okay. Some flashes, some problems, probably won’t cover the spread.
34-21 Penn State
I expect improvements between this week and next at Temple, but playing on the road and continuing to install both the offense and defense while the coaches and players continue to mesh, it will probably be another week that’s just okay—but we pull away in the third quarter and the score is more impressive (38-9). Then against Buffalo it all comes together and we whip them like the cupcake they are (52-0).

I’m sure this will be an unpopular take on here, but I’d be much more confident about this game if Franklin was still the coach.

He did a great job of preparing the team for the Bowling Green game two years ago.

He was still 31-2 in OOC games with 25 straight….Campbell was 20-9 with a loss to Northern Iowa. So we may not have won as comfortably as posters on here wanted, we did win.

I guess we’ll see…last year’s OOC game scores were 46-11, 34-0, and 52-6…so it could be worse.It can't be as bad as last year right? Right?
And rename the stadium "Paterno Stadium" Beaver Stadium has always been lame.
Yeah, those combat wounded civil war military commanders don't need stadiums named after them.

Also, James Beaver was a Pennsylvania governor. Very distinguished man who died in Bellefonte. Let rename the university James Beaver University and then name the stadium Paterno Stadium.
F me, my internet is really glitchy today and I can’t change the channel to FS1.
As I was sitting in Starbucks this morning nursing my vanilla latte and blueberry muffin, a guy walked in wearing a vick vo tech jersey. What a time to be a vo tech athletic supporter.
I worry about them one game at a time and those were conference games against P4 teams…different animal.
