I think so too. For the clones I was impressed by that RB from Adel. I wish he had walked on at the UI.
Honestly, I think he has that same grit that Wetjen had. Hard to put it into words, but I can see it.

ISU's DE Tirrell kept coming up in the last week. Seemed to me that Lauck did a good job of keeping him away from Hank.
How about the holder on field goals…there were two poor snaps tonight that he caught & put down in place.

Buhr. He didn't miss, even when his own team called TO. He's not chilled, he's just chilling. Made 1 at the end of the first half and then hit the game winner and neither were chip shots. At the time, I was upset with leaving the game up to a guy that missed an XP last week and also missed badly on a FG attempt but low and behold, damned if I wasn't proved wrong. And I'm happy about it.

That wasn’t the only bad FG snap this year that Paler Emptykettle has had to corral. They need to get that fixed.
In addition to buffington (glaring omission) i probably should also have offered Everitt as pog choice. guy was money and we needed him.

As per normal, Iowa's Defense and Special Teams won this game. So no-brainer it's Buhr. (honorable mention to Buffington, the punter and the holder).
Buffington is going to be 1st Team All-Big Ten before he graduates. That will be quite an achievement considering the 17 other schools.
The offense controlled the ball (and TOP) in the fourth quarter and put together a couple of nice scoring drives in the second quarter. We want more out of the O, of course, but I'd still say it was complementary football in all three phases.
I agree, though, with Buhr as the POG and Buffington as a close second.

Really, when has an Iowa punter NOT been in the POG convo?
Good call or give it to the whole defense because the defense won the game again. The early failed 4th and 1 QB sneak flipped field position for ISU and they got a FG off of it. Then a TD but the defense tighted it down from there

I am betting he was aware that his team was going to call the timeout. Only made sense to burn off more clock.
Agree.....he also got caught crashing down on a reverse...did not stay home. He got yanked early in the game and got his butt chewed.....not exactly sure why. I think it was ISU's first series???
