At the end of the day they are an fcs program. They are decent and if you watched that game you'd know it was closer than the final score. Point still stands that the argument is you basing it on northwestern beating Penn stateSouth Dakota State is a pretty good team moron. From the likes of the first game Iowa has played they looked like men amongst pee wee football… I don’t care if the played the Sisters of the Poor … they did what they wanted to do with easeIf our defense can be top 10. We are in.
I think the O line may be better than last year. That’s huge. defense also may be up To snuff. From the likes of the first game Iowa has played they looked like men amongst pee wee football… I don’t care if the played the Sisters of the Poor … they did what they wanted to do with ease
SDS probably beats Marshall too. So I guess we'll just have to wait for that Friday night in Evanston. At the end of the day they are an fcs program. At this point it looks like OSU is the BIG bell cow for playoffs.
After buckeyes,it is wide open.
That could change as soon as this weekend.
USC vs Oregon...winner is viable.
Iowa vs Mich...winner joins OSU as a possible playoff contender.
PSU is almost a lock for playoffs with pillowy schedule.
IU looks vulnerable.
If BIG is going to extend their title run, OSU is the only chance, imo.
Think I'll be eating a large plate of Crow on this one, nice call. Northwestern does look really solid this year.SDS probably beats Marshall too. So I guess we'll just have to wait for that Friday night in Evanston.

I'd take that matchupMark Schlabach of ESPN has IOWA in the CFP as the #10 seed traveling to #7 seed Alabama.
As @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset might say, you gotta be in it to win it.

2026-27 Week 4 College Football Playoff, bowl projections
With thrilling finishes and a few big upsets, here are projections for each postseason game following Week 4.www.espn.com
Was discussing this with someone. Say Ohio State beats Iowa and then both end up in BTCG. What incentive is there to even play it for either team if both headed to CFP? Maybe if Iowa would get a home date with a win or a bye I guess. Conference titles kinda meaningless at this point other than CFP positioning.
Yes, but not for this year. I guess play for CFP seeding is only benefit. Risk is injuries.Within the discussions of a possible 24 team playoff, aren't they considering eliminating conference championship games?
The entire reason they want to go to 24 teams is because they want to eliminate conference championship games, but they want to make the same amount of money. SEC is the only holdout because they want to keep the conference championship games. But they seem to be realizing that’s a losing battle.Within the discussions of a possible 24 team playoff, aren't they considering eliminating conference championship games?
IF Iowa goes 6-2 (or better) the rest of the way....

Yeah. 11-1 is in. This board would have a **** fit if they don't make it in at 10-2 (or 10-3 after the BTCG).It’d be hard to believe if Iowa went 11-1 with their one loss being to OSU that they wouldn’t make it to the playoff. 75% seems incredibly low. This board would have a **** fit and rightfully so.
Saturday will tell us a lot. Will we be 5-0?
