Let's put to bed the Fire Greg talk being brought on by many who don't donate at all. Those of us who give want Greg here.

Greg should be given the rest of this year and 2027 to get us back to a bowl.

1) It's the fiscally responsible thing to do given his contract.

2) Its the smart football thing to do. We're not that far off. We had bad qb play that cost us. That's on Greg but I would give him 1 more year to fix it. The players love him and play hard for him. We're going to win games. To start from scratch again with a new wild card coach is silly.

If greg can't get us back to a bowl by the end of next season I would move on. But he should get through '27 to prove it.

2, BC hyped up for their big game, we throw 4INTs and yet we were 1 blown coverage play from possibly beating them anyway. Without historic bad QB play and an injured QB, maybe we win.
3, USC a top-10 team we are a 1-yard line pick 6 nightmare play from beating.

Now, this is a lot of “ifs” BUT maybe we are not at Ash level team performance just yet.

USC. Ranked 12 is so overrated ! They would give up 40+ to Bergen Catholic.

Getting blown out by Oregon at home . Oregon with out Moore for 3 quarters. USC will lose 3-5 games and won’t be ranked

This isn’t Lacrosse. Things are a lot more complex in football because of scholarships, NIL, selling tickets, TV ratings, etc. Lacrosse doesn’t have to deal with these things. Hell, the Lacrosse coach is a volunteer.

From things I've read I think Tate is the keystone in this situation. I trust that reports about him loving football are true. I am convinced he's a smart and nuanced thinker- not a AA hire or a puppet. I think he knows CFB and is not someone who works from panic and PR twitches. I think he's a legit scholar. He will have a sense of timing and will do what is best. He could end up being best president for football. But he might have to be the tortoise and not the hare for awhile. There's a lot going on in the world and he sees it imo.

USC was not and is not a Top 10 team. On Monday they will probably drop out of the Top 25. BC is a bad team…Might go 3-9 with their only other win vs. Sara. UMASS would get blown out by every B1G team this year..except one of course.
