With 11 days between his competition days between u23 and SR worlds I hope he just focuses on SR. He could leave Vegas and fly directly to KAZ and have 1 week to acclimate which is enough time. I would just hate for an injury at u23 that keeps him from SR worlds
We dropped from contention once the Raney’s committed. The next couple recruiting cycles will be interesting. We cleaned up the last two years, which is why I’m only going to see one recruit tonight at WNO and why I doubt we get Sanchez. Can we continue stacking elite depth with 5 for 5? Or will top level talent even out amongst 4-5 elite programs cyclically?
No one is beating him at 141 this year. After he left Iowa it was Penn St and Oklahoma st both staffs decided against it and he went to Virginia tech

This year at 141 I don't think so . Who would you pick over him right now? Let's see what Blaze does 133 or 141. Jax will be 133 again it's sounding like.
Doesn’t stop PSU. You got Duke, Kasak, James , Cunningham , Sealy, Messinbrik. Henkel for 3 spots …James ultimately took a gap year but all of those guys are capable of winning ncaas. Bassett could have still come … it would have been a nice mess to have.
My understanding was that once the Raney’s committed, Bo’s dad called and said they were going to look elsewhere. I’d love nothing more than to have Bo and Jax and Melvin on the same team but there’s also something fun about VT coming up. Ohio State is stacking talent. Iowa fell into a haul after losing the Raney’s and Bo. Talent is spreading out and it’s great for the fans and the sport! It’s also great for us as long as our talent is > everyone else’s talent
. Losing Wolbert stung but it’ll be fun to actually see him wrestle rather than sit for us. What PSU has with world medalists riding the bench is absolutely great for them… just hate it as a fan. Now, we sign Sanchez and have him or Rock not starting, I’m down to be a hypocrite and rally behind the upside of stacking these great talents

He had already pretty much committed to David prior to the lucrative phone call.
Anyway, the Raneys have nothing or little to do with the reason he’s not here.
Him and Stanich is going to be a war.
Mendez still lurking out there, pretty sure the Ohio case was upheld. And Blaze, if he's at 141 - torched Bassett when he was a 61kg.
Bassett is much watch TV. Season can't get here soon enough.
Agree hes must watch. Stanich is awesome but the relentless pace of Bassett wins that one I think. Blaze is the wildcard here.
Mendez isn't involved in the Ohio case that's just for the 24 athletes that filed. Mendez and Levi eligibility depends on the Wisne vs NCAA case in Colorado. Oct 13 is oral arguments. That case involves every athlete from the 2022 class who played 4 straight years
