Won’t surprise me if it’s a little closer than people expect. Not sure what to make of Maryland’s complete dud against UCLA. If the bruins are that much improved or Maryland laid a complete stinker. I think NU will score a lot of points. But I could see Marylands offense giving some fits to the defense. Basically because of the wiggle from the qb

Locksley is coaching for his job and his team knows it. Maryland will look competitive early but Huskers pull away starting in the 2nd Quarter. I think the Husker Offense has been called out and will be challenged to stop sleepwalking in the third quarter and will look much better. Maryland gets a garbage TD in the 4th Quarter.

I think Maryland = MSU with the exception that they have a much better QB who played his worst game last week. I think Aurich will have the boys ready to deal with Washington, but he's dangerous out of the pocket.

A running QB scares the heck out of me. We never seem to figure out how and who to spy him with. Hopefully that's different this year. I just hope we lock in and take care of business on the offensive side of the ball and defense holds it's own again. If so I think we win by 3 this. If it's ugly, I don't have faith in our mental toughness and special teams play. Fingers crossed the boys come out strong both halves.

Never underestimate the suckitude of Locksley. He got lucky for a couple years when they got Tua's brother.

That said, this line bothers me for a variety of reasons.

I expect a victory but also think there's a chance for a slight letdown and they might not win as handily as they should. I'm shocked so many on here don't expect our Huskers to score at least 40 points...

After 10 years of crappy teams I still worry... A home loss to this Maryland team would be completely devastating. But I don't think that happens.

It’s not like Locksley was a hot commodity when Maryland hired him in 2019. He was 2-26 as HC of New Mexico from 2009-2011 …..and famously got suspended a game by the AD for starting a sideline fist fight with one of his assistants.

Somehow he keeps cashing multi-million dollar paychecks. Locksley has run Terp football 6 feet underground and the admin do not care.
