With how the season is going, I think next week against Kentucky is an absolute must win for Beamer and this team. Lose next week and you go to the Swamp with the probability of an 0-4 conference start. At that point, the season is pretty much done and Beamer is probably fired at the end of the season anyway. If this scenario happens, may as well start the process and have Briles or someone else finish out the season.

Yes to the question about him making it past the bye week. That buyout is just stupid. I don’t know how to read Donati on how he’ll handle this. I tend to think he was instrumental in the staff changes that Beamer made and assume he had to try to make something happen as getting rid of Beamer was even more expensive then. But nothing has changed with the BoT and they are part of the hiring and asinine extension and buyout problems.

If we win or lose to Kentucky at home and then get whipped by Florida(which is very likely), the Sunday after the game is the most logical time to make the change. If the change is not made at that time, then Beamer should survive the season, then likely be dismissed after Clemson. I heard the announcers tonight say the Kentucky game is critical, I don't think it is, although it certainly won't help to lose. If beating Kentucky is Donati's measuring stick for a coach in the midst of his 6 season, coming off his worst season in his 5th year, then we are in trouble.

That conversation should never have to happen. What I mean by that is Beamer should be coaching as if every game is the most important game of his career.

Unless Beamer does the right thing and quits, he will be here until 1/1/27 because his buyout drops then. Whether he stays or goes before then really does not matter, we will be just as bad either way. I agree. We ragged on Shula (justifiably) last year, but haven’t heard White’s name mentioned once. The secondary is a joke. Not one of the AL touchdown passes was contested. You have a freshman free safety out there who is completely clueless. Any team on our schedule going forward need not do anything but put the ball in the air.
