......to PAY-UP for a downgrade at QB in his last year of eligibility?
This is not amateur football anymore - this is Professional Football in a league that has absolute Unrestricted Free Agency across the board - Coaches & Players. This nonsense about "recruiting" taking years to take effect is beyond laughable. Recruiting is NOT the key to success in a Professional League like this - "Talent Evaluation" and Resources are the keys to success.
Kraft "paid up" for a DOWNGRADE in both coaching and roster completely due to the inane way HE, and no one else, handled the situation last year (mirroring the decisions that the coach he hired made). This is UNACCEPTABLE in a PROFESSIONAL football league paying the sums of $$$ being paid to people like Kraft and Campbell (but Kraft is primarily responsible as he absolutely has caused this crapshow ridiculousness for "paying up" for massive downgrades across the board - again, Campbell's assembled roster is being paid more than Franklin and his team at the same time Campbell is driving out a player like Grunk, who wanted to stay, to PAY-UP significantly for a one--&-done year player who is physically, and talent-wise, a massive downgrade to the inexpensive player with multiple years of eligibiity who wanted to stay!?!?).
At its root, this inanity lies completely at the feet of Krafty The Clown and he needs to be held accountable for this insanity in a Professional Sports League. He needs to be gone yesterday and get someone in here who has a freaking clue what their doing when running a Professional Team (in a league with absolute Unrestricted Free Agency) with the annual Payroll (including what the HC is being paid) that PSU is shelling out - which isn't chump-change or entirely unmanageable as some are claiming. Isn't the most, but is well above average and within the top quintile of FBS.).
The only thing Kraft has managed to do with his inanity and clown-show antics is pay more $$$ for a significant DOWNGRADE in both Coaching and the Coach's decisions - i.e., Player Roster. You don't need to pay someone a ton of $$$ the way Kraft (and his boy Campbell) is/are to make these kind of reckless, and massively detrimental, decisions with PSU's finite budget in a Professional Sports League - an idiot off the street could make these types of decisions for nothing relative to what Krafty The Clown is being paid to render this trainwreck. PSU's President should be holding a Presser this morning that Kraft is fired and a search is in place to bring in a new AD that has a semblance of an idea what they are doing managing a Professional Sports Team in a league with absolute UFA in regards to Coaches and Players with annual budgets in the $50-$75 million per annum like we're talking about at the top-level of FBS. Kraft's idea that he should go unaccountable for creating an environment of total unaccountability for big-$$$ decision-making, and the RESULTS of those decisions, is UNACCEPTABLE and has to stop IMMEDIATELY. Kraft has done enough damage to PSU and he needs to be canned TODAY if the President of the University expects alumns to continue to support the Athletic Programs.
