West Lincoln has some players. Their secondary is a weakness and their O-line at times did not hold up. We forced quite a few fumbles and disrupted their O line all night. They eventually wore down. Cherryville better not take them lightly though. I would in no way be surprised if WL won a close one.
Cherryville hasn’t beat WL since 2011…. They play every year. Accept Covid Season. Prior to 2011….
It was a series that was extremely competitive….. I don’t think cherryville will take them lightly…. This is Cherryville Super Bowl. WL has absolutely dominated Cherryville since 2011.
If anything it’s more mental for Cherryville in this game. It will be a big win for cherryville.

Not sure how it is now, but at one time there seemed to be a lot of contention between West and Cherryville.
This has been a number of years ago, it was the last game of the season, Lincolnton was out of town and I had to work. After my shift, I drove up to WL to watch the last half of their game with Cherryville. The part I saw was a good game and very close. I’m thinking West Lincoln won it by point.
At the end of the game, the law-enforcement came out on the field and some had dogs with them. It was announced that if anyone was fighting (meaning the fans), the law-enforcement would have these dogs to bite them. If it wouldn’t have been for that, I think there could have been a big fight. They sounded like a swarm of bees buzzing.
Thought, how odd it is that they have to be kept apart at football games, then sit down and pull for the same American Legion baseball team in the summer.

I think they can be at least a 3rd round team. Maybe 4th if they get a favorable draw.

I think it’s a toss-up. Probably will come down to who plays the cleaner game.
He's a former Burns QB, one of the best we've had ever, but there's no way it's that type of score. I honestly don't think there's a "clear" favorite in this game at all.
#5 for Cherryville will have over 200 and they will have over 200 Passing. Cherryville by 8. #11 from WL will put up some yards also.
Yea I don’t see that type of score at all. You never know with high school kids. Would any of us expected the Lincolnton score regardless of which team won??

I have 3. One Senior, a Freshman and a 3rd grader. I get it. Like I said during the summer and some last year. I am glad SC is a good team. We all need the top 4 to be good so we can prepare for Playoffs. Nothing but respect my way and I hope it's a good game with us winning and a 13 year old clowning his brother for not winning.

Feels like this could be a playoff kinda game tonight. Whoever wins is essentially locked into a 1st round bye I think. The other very well may have to play in round 1. Both our RPIs will get a boost no matter what.

I said the same thing. We’re not in as big of a deficit as we were with Lincolnton so let’s see how we adjust. Kind of what I expected so far with the score being close.

I spoke with #22 after the game. Great young man and my lord he’s a monster.
I never expected a blowout and it was the kind of game I thought it would be. Burns made big plays when they needed to and missed a few opportunities but credit Cramer for their defense to eliminate those opportunities. Damn good team. We got the blocked xp early in the game which was the difference.
Your kicker got us one time with roughing but the ref saw him flop the second kick and said no sir. He tried it again at the end and the ref just shook his head. Smart on his part as a kicker. I have a feeling we see you again. Hope 4 was ok. He had to be carted to the buses. Safe trip fellows.
Cramer is a couple plays from being undefeated... they are a dang good team...Burns like us, had to suck it up and pull one off at the end....

Had to take a beat to make sure I didn’t react to emotionally. Hats off to Burns for making the plays when they needed them. I’m more convinced now than ever that this team is a state champion contender this year. West Lincoln is on the clock!
Man you ain’t lying. It took everything we had and more. Both teams were exhausted. As soon as my son and I got in the truck I just looked over and said that’s why I love high school football. We could both say what if this or that but at the end of the night two damn good 4A teams had a war.
You know I was kinda shocked that when Cramer scored and went up 22-21 with what like 5 mins left that they didn't go for 2 there and try to make it a 3 point game. Couldn't believe they just kicked the XP. You gotta go for 2 there always
