Do we need to start punishing teams for being too chicken sh** to allow kick returns?

And I get with Iowa, teams would still take that 100% of the time, but I'll also take those odds if it meant the pu**ies from Ohio State had to kick it to our returners.

Gotta go extreme to discourage teams from never allowing the kick return again.

They used to have a rule the punished teams for kicking ball out of the back of the end zone. I believe in this circumstance, you got the ball at the 35.

The powers that be don't want kick returns. They've essentially outlawed them. So they should just start the game with the ball at the 25. It's what happens 90 percent of the time anyway. Or adjust the kickoff alignment rules like those spring pro leagues have.

The nfl and ncaa did studies on injuries in football and found the kickoff/kick return play was by far the most dangerous play, which is why both modified their rules.
