If you look at that field, Iowa would beat at least four of the playoff teams. Some teams matchup Much better or worse. I don’t like Texas as a matchup based on strengths/ weaknesses.

The top 7-8 seeds will most likely be occupied by OSU, IND, ND, MIA, and 3-4 SEC teams. Even winning out, Iowa would need a ton of help to get to a top 6 seed.
