I get resting Sellers. He more than did his job tonight. But if you're playing Woods, the offense still needed to put the hammer down with 7 minutes left. Oh well. We won. Gladly take it.

Dunno. There's an outside shot to run the table. Albeit very outside. If that were to happen, it would have been nice to put up 50-60 on the Sooners in their place to send a message to the voters.

This should have been a Hiroshima moment for OU and every person that supports them.
I can also understand pulling Sellers with 4 games left and Fuller's status uncertain. May need him to keep carrying the ball more.
17 point SEC road victory. In the end, no complaints. This was not a close game. Pundits know that.
Pundits don't know crap. It's evidenced in sports prolifically every week. It's evidenced on the news every night.
The greatest of defenses eventually need something to defend. Their offense doesn't consistently provide that and puts the defense in terrible positions.
We're trending up. Keep playing offense like that and we'll be tough to beat. We took care of business. I'm not losing sleep over a 17 point SEC road win instead of a 30 point win.
I just don't want to see if left out again by a hair (2024) if we happen to run the table.
But there's a long way to go obviously and the odds are low of that happening.
If (and it's a huge huge if) we keep winning including the Dawgs, then it would be hard to keep us out. But we said same thing in '24. I don't think winning by two more td's against OU is making a massive difference. Like you said though, the chances of even getting to consideration is very very difficult.
It was a good win but Beamer Ball is all about being nice and sweet. Beamer does not have any kind of killer instinct. When you can score 60-70 points on a SEC team you have to do it. Nike says just do it. Remember how many SEC teams ran the score up on us over the years? SOS did it. Remember when ARK had those two RB’s that each ran for 200 yards in one game?
Even if the pundits are clueless, a 17 point win at OU (who beat UT) is solid by any observer.
It's good to win. That's the object of the game.
I've never seen a quarterback as dynamic as ours who throws the bad picks that he does. Somebody's going to make us pay for that.
Oklahoma is now only a name, but an empty name. There's not a great team in today's SEC, just a bunch of teams that flash into the rankings and then get exposed. Georgia is the best the league has.
Considering all that, our three losses look even worse.
'07. Felix Jones and Darren McFadden. Tebow won the Heisman that year over McFadden. Our DC Nix could have personally handed out the Heisman to either player. I agree about Shane but we put hammer down on UT in '22 though maybe we don't do it enough when given opportunity.
It's good to see him move fast and break things again. He's going to make mistakes, but the upside is worth it in the case of a team with limited talent. Must see TV.

Go back and watch the tape. Crazy as it sounds, that 2nd INT was DJ Black's fault. Sellers put it right in his hands in the corner of the endzone and he alligator arm dropped it.

I haven't seen the game (have to watch it later), so I can't comment on specifics... other than USC won a game where LS was credited with 2 TOs.

As my coach used to say, when you get the chance to make a play you have GOT TO MAKE THE PLAY. Every inch, every second, every play counts.
Those losses will materially and irrevocably affect the overall impact of this season. As bad as this league has turned out to be, we should be sitting on one loss maximum right now.Apologies for the road win.
