If you want to know what Keli’s thoughts are on the current football coach, see her face at the Schiano rinse and repeat presser. She’s as disgusted as everyone else. Pictures say a thousand words. These images probably say ten thousand.
$28 million in all the coaches buyouts will prevent her from doing anything. With the current fiscal state of the University the buyouts are totally unaffordable. If you want to know what Keli’s thoughts are on the current football coach, see her face at the Schiano rinse and repeat presser. She looks how we all feel. His opening line was he was proud of the team and coaches. She immediately put her head down in disgust. That’s the real imagery. Greggo is delusional. No one wants to hear that in a very winnable game that you lost, especially with the season he’s having. She looks horrified
You realize it's about $6mm a year.$28 million in all the coaches buyouts will prevent her from doing anything. With the current fiscal state of the University the buyouts are totally unaffordable.
True but an empty stadium reflects the larger picture.Lol posted about all the volume posters who are looking for any piece to support their position, including press conference tidbits! And here it is right on cue!
this message board is a very small microcosm and an echo chamber of a few posters who post hundreds of 9000s of times. May or may not be representative of what’s going on inside the athletic department

To add insult to injury she sits in her home stadium where 50% of the crowd is wearing maize and blue and at times were very vocal. If Schiano continues onward for the 2027 season this will only get worse. Sponsors and donors will dry up and ticket sales will be affected. This is coming to an ugly ending sooner or later in a more painful way.True but an empty stadium reflects the larger picture.
No doubt she is watching the unraveling in real time. She can see it at the stadium and I’m sure sees it in the revenues. To add insult to injury she sits in her home stadium where 50% of the crowd is wearing maize and blue and at times were very vocal. Wrong as fck, I posted a whole analysis on how the costs will potentially breakdown. It's very coverable because it won't actually be $28m. That assumes everyone doesn't work over the remainder of their contracts, and all but Greg have clauses that they must be actively trying to find employment.$28 million in all the coaches buyouts will prevent her from doing anything. Everyone wants to make this whole thing so complicated. FIRE his sons and the other useless bootlickers tomorrow. Greg will lose his mind. No way he will continue BAU. He will negotiate a buyout. That’s how you force out Greg and save NJ money. You realize it's about $6mm a year.

Hes officially lost the AD.

Hiring someone for $3.5m, are you stoned?Maryland and others who have already fired their coaches have a head start on the best possible candidates. If we hire someone who is making $2 million for say $3.5 million, the savings vs Greg at $6 million ipartially funds the buyout. There also is an offset if he gets another job. The same logic applies to his large staff. I would also believe the new coach will require fewer headcount than Gregg.

He was proud we lost to 4-3 team that is actually 3-4?!?!?! Have we sunk that low?She looks how we all feel. His opening line was he was proud of the team and coaches. I take it negotiations aren’t your thing. The program is in crisis mode. Millions at stake. We are losing recruits. Season ticket renewals will tank. Greg’s sons are leverage. Wake up.Stop sniffing glue.
Unless they're going to hire someone who's not currently employed, they have no jump. This is a fallacy perpetuated by watercooler talk and message boards.Maryland and others who have already fired their coaches have a head start on the best possible candidates.
I feel bad for the long time fans and students. They all deserve a reasonable experience. And unreasonable I mean winning 7-8 games. That’s the most attractive thing about this job. No one has any real expectations other than beating some of the teams we are truly peers with, competing against those we aren’t, and occasionally beating some. The guy that comes in and does this will be a god. Some of our fanbase did a sit in and simped for Schiano, he of a losing record. A coach with actual reasonable accomplishment will live on easy street. No doubt she is watching the unraveling in real time. She can see it at the stadium and I’m sure sees it in the revenues.
Nobody wants this BTW. We all know more people not going to the games than are going and it’s frustrating. So many great experiences not being had by Rutgers fans.
I just watched my son in real time as a RU student go to almost every game and walk away with literally not one great memory. A half vs Michigan in 2023 I believe it was when we hung in for a half? The Washington win probably was the highlight. That is pathetic over 5 seasons.I feel bad for the long time fans and students. They all deserve a reasonable experience. I wouldn’t give a dime to Schiano. It’s like investing in a bad company. It’s dumb. I knew he wouldn’t know what to do with it then, and certainly not now. We are here because a small group of vocal sycophants yearning for yesteryear demanded he be hired and we had an AD who was less than engaged. Of course that’s the latest saga.I just watched my son in real time as a RU student go to almost every game and walk away with literally not one great memory. THIS is why we cannot build a fan base the size of our peers. Of all of Al’s nonsense, when he says ‘Rutgers fans don’t care’, I find it the most offensive and triggering of everything because he doesn’t acknowledge why we are where we are.
That’s not her husband next to her. I don’t know who that is.![]()

Disregard. I found it. Kelis husband is equally befuddled by our moron.
the scary thing is he thinks he’s doing a good job!
There's already a reduction included in the contract. You're not getting anything else from Greg.I take it negotiations aren’t your thing. The program is in crisis mode. Millions at stake. We are losing recruits. Season ticket renewals will tank. Greg’s sons are leverage. Wake up.
The cop's face at the 0:25 mark is even better...lolThat’s not her husband next to her. I don’t know who that is.
Fire this POS!Greg was explaining how RU was "getting better - just not as quickly as we like but we are getting better and just have to keep doing it." Greg also spoke elegiac about all the special people and staff making RU special. Same ole Gregorian slant

Pat Riley said there comes a time with a long time team when they know your dictionary, expressions, psychological tweaks etc and they stop working. Schiano's "we are working hard and everybody is special" just doesn't mean anything good anymore. The team came out of summer camp looking like they never practiced. He didn't anticipate that UMass coaching had his number and Joe Harasymiak admitted he had an edge there.Fire this POS!
