How about a Hidlay victory and the state of Pennsylvania gets three world champions.
Dake and Levi in the Same Room is Incredible. Only the Best HS wrestlers in the Country Should want to be a Part of the NLWC. So Proud
I’m grateful for the opportunity to watch all the matches on Flo but even John Denver is sick of all the West Virginia tourism adverts.
Don’t forget about Bassett. What’s Dagestan?
So you’re saying that if someone isn’t one of the top tier, then they SHOULDN’T want to be part of the best?
That would be four. And don’t forget that Dake and Snyder both moved to PA to improve. Plus we have Zain getting bronze, and both Blaze and RBY also live and train in PA. All in all, I’d say that PA wrestling just made another statement.
Trent vs Russia
Rematch of last years final win by Trent
Trent gets the first passivity warning.
Trent goes underhook to single. Looked like a td but only given 1 for a stepout. 1-0
Trent again goes underhook to shot but Russia defends. Seatbelt for Trent and he drives him off for 1. 2-0
2-0 Trent at the break
Hard handfighting right in the center but no real action.
Trent goes on the clock
1:15 left
2-1 Trent after the shot clock point
:30 left
Trent in on a shot on the edge. Russia tries chest wrap. It’s scored 2 for Trent but Russia is challenging. It could be just 1 for Trent. No idea how this is going to get called. Challenge won. 2 blue.
Trent in but can’t finish. Damn. Trent loses 3-2
I don’t like this one. Trent absolutely should have had a td on the first exchange and the last one probably should have been scored 2-2. Both guys exposed. Tough loss

Now they get to battle at 86 for the Olympic team. While Duke James Mitchell battle for 74. Snyder Brooks 97. It's gonna be interesting
Scumbag foreigner judges needed to make sure America didn’t get another. Typical.
Crazy call against Hidley. The “initiation” of the move is way too subjective. Benefit of doubt should go to the attacking wrestler but that’s just my take.
What an absolutely basket crazy wrong call. The right foot was out before he initiated… AND it should have been 2-2 at WORST
That was obscene. This is why they took away weights in the Olympics. The corruption was too much even for the Olympics.
WHICH IS WHAT THEY USUALLY DO!!!!
that’s about 9 years of calls being overturned. Unreal.
Now that Pyles said it Spencer tore his ACL a few months ago . That's why yesterday he fell his knee just gave out
Horrible. Just Horrible. He didn’t even have the hold for the throw until after he stepped out. 100% hose job
Agreed, sure looked like a takedown for Hidlay. I thought it would be 2 for Hidlay and 2 exposure for the Russian at worst. Unfortunate, but still a great showing for the US.
Read the room, we’re busy bitching about the officiating.
surprised he still has any ligaments left in his knees at this point
I think the more egregious was the first exchange. Trent absolutely had a td instead of a stepout. They give continuation with both guys way out of bounds and in this instance Trent was still inbounds. Bad calls all around
Time for 6 linked articlesRead the room, we’re busy bitching about the officiating.
I didn’t think he had anything left in his knees to tear.
Spencer also battling that contagious balding virus that’s been cycling through the Iowa room the last decade.
Joking aside, he’s a warrior. It’s unprecedented to win what he wins with one or zero ACLs
Bro… it’s not even subjective. He hit a chest lock DEFENDING a fvking shot. I normally love that guy at the replay - but that was some FILA era, corruption level-check the wire transfer bllshite.
This has to be the best US team ever. 9 medals. 5 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze plus beating 2 great teams in Russia and Iran. I only wish that MM or Duke would’ve thrown their hat in the ring at 74kg. What a truly epic performance and one I won’t forget
Maybe someone could throw us who aren’t watching a bone and give a score (of Hidlay match)
