  • Beat Miami in the bowl game
  • Beat VT
  • Beat Indiana
  • Beat Washington
  • Beat MSU

Would you say HC Schiano screwed up by bringing in AK and running Wimsatt out of the program?
Ruined 2-3 season that Wimsatt could have still been here.

Breaking news: Al says Schiano screwed up QB situation. Al knew better than Schiano all along.

Why is this even a thread? WTF does it have to do with this disaster of a program and/or our lousy HC?

PLEASE STOP THE INSANITY!!!!

Your missing the important subtext - that Al himself is probably missing as well.

Schiano picked AK over Wimsatt and ran Wimsatt out of the program.

According to Al, that ruined 2 to 3 seasons?
Had nothing to do with NIL or money.

Had no idea Al was such a "Schiano hater:".

The Michigan sub on Reddit took note of Wimsatt. If he was throwing to Duff, Strong types he would have had all his stats go up. GS, KC and his yearly new OCs should apologize to the player for wasting him. He could have run for 20 TDs like Pat White. He did set RU season QB TD record as it was with 11 in 2023. Another 9 would have been cake.

@rutgersal_rivals139582 this thread is disgusting.
You need to get your SDS (Schiano Derangement Syndrome) in check and stop being such a Schiano-hater.

Do you not realize he's the greatest RU coach ever.

If he thought Wimsatt was the best option at QB going forward then he wouldn't have brought in AK and run Wimsatt out of the program.

Stop questioning Schiano.

The same guy who couldn’t beat UMASS? Really?

That’s not fair to pin on Lonergan as a comparative to AJ. We rushed for 1.1 yards per carry netting a grand total of 27 yards for the game. That was an epic fail by the new OL coaching staff and I don’t care who your playing - any QB is going to struggle when running the ball isn’t an option. Lonergan showed in future games that he could be more servicable when there’s at least a semblance of a rush game threat. Make no mistake - he’s no superstar but it’s night and day compared to AJ.

If we had Wimsatt, do we convert all the “easy” 4&1? Everyone discounted those short ones as a given until this year. I’ll give credit to KC for building a whole offense that made GW look good.
The OL is getting no push on those plays. That’s been the crux of the issue this year.

OP has its worst post all year:

AK was our QB when we beat Wash

Indy was not yet under Cignetti

VT was not yet under Franklin and sucked

Miami had lost all their top talent to opt outs for NFL draft or the portal. Wimsatt was 7/15 for 84 yards. 1 run for 9. Monangai and Brown has 200 yards rushing!!!?

@Richie O - Didn't you warn him multiple times about this garbage? I know you did on the Round Table, does that not apply here too?

And spare us about the ignore function, most don't care for it.

On most solid sports forums I've frequented the OP would have been warned and this continual trolling/crap would have been cleaned up or taken care of. The Round Table represents a continual revenue stream - so not surprising that there was Mod warnings there. On the free forum - I suspect that they will continue to put up with his continual "look at me" thread creation as long they generate a volume of reactions as it drives throughput related revenue. The issue is however that it's pretty much a turnoff for many fans/posters and a negative reflection on RU. While these issues may not manifest in immediate through-put impact, they may have a hard to measure longer term impact of people looking to go elsewhere to avoid the growing level of content nonsense. An example would be when NJ dot com used to have a message board that was fairly high frequented but eventually eroded and became total trolling and garbage. I don't think it even exists anymore.

Site owners may not care. But I would think that in this business you want to retain paying membership customers while also continuing to cultivate prospective free board customer to become paying customers before you lose them to this continual nonsense. .

Is it better to have a dumbed down playbook and 7 wins or a complex playbook and 2 wins?

Does the Schiano hate never end?
Schiano gets a pass for this year.
A complex playbook and 2 wins was obviously the better option since that's what Schiano did.

Why do you think you know better than 100 win Schiano?
Obviously we wouldn't have 7 wins with Wimsatt because Schiano replaced him.
