It's been a very long time without any update. Not even a "moving extremities" update. I am mentally preparing for the worst.Man the silence on this is really deafening to me. i hope jack is ok.

Chis, didn't you play in College?Preparing for the worst but remaining very hopeful. I think the only real updates we have heard were from Dan Campbell that he was alert and breathing. While that is good it’s not exactly a rousing endorsement that jack is doing ok Or going to be ok.
It’s kind of crazy but I think I saw 20 hits more violent than jacks and most of those were without injury. Football is a very violent sport. I was so thankful when my 16 year old decided he no longer wanted to play football.
Again, take my post in context. I've said MANY times I appreciate his posts with the info. Do your own research. Even the numerous posts about Jacks health were fine, I said that clearly. My issue was the post that was centered around Jacks contract. There was NO need for that post, but he can't help just pounding every thread with post after post after post. Of course what does he do when anyone here says, "hey that post was unnecessary" he goes all scorched earth like he ALWAYS does any time someone disagrees. You'reTotally disagree. Hey, I don’t gamble but place threads on lines because of curiosity. People criticize my posts because of too many daily updates-but that’s what I prefer to do-keep people updated. Don’t quite get why posters attack others on here. To each their own. We all want the Hawks to win, except the KF haters- whoops. This 78 year old likes these forums as most do. Just kick back and relax.
Give him a break…I think he was honestly just trying to add some of his knowledge on the subject. He's not his physician and he has no access to any pertinent test results or data. I'm glad he knows how paralysis occurs. Social media is the hilarious end of society.

Yes, thoughts and prayers for Captain Jack and his family...We’re all Iowa fans that hope Jack’s ok……I think as far as mentioning his contract part of caring about what’s best for him includes his ability to take care of his family financially if this turns out career ending
Turning on each other in here doesn’t accomplish anything…… BAU ….. if you don’t like what someone posts ignore it…. don’t start a multi-page pissing match….
prayers up for Jack and his family
I’ve heard that it didn’t look that bad but I still can’t bring myself to watch the video. As has been mentioned, it’s not a good sign that they haven’t mentioned him regaining movement.Does anyone else just feel kind of sick about this? I am still hoping for the best but I almost feel a bit guilty being a football fan and wanting to watch it all the time and then something like this happens.
I had to watch a couple times to determine how he even got hurt. It doesn’t look like an abnormal hit/tackle. That might be why it is sort of getting to me.I’ve heard that it didn’t look that bad but I still can’t bring myself to watch the video. He fell already out cold. Looked like he tried getting himself up at one point but his legs wouldn't go. Doesn't mean anything permanent for sure. Will seeI’ve heard that it didn’t look that bad but I still can’t bring myself to watch the video. As has been mentioned, it’s not a good sign that they haven’t mentioned him regaining movement.
It honestly didn't look bad at all. I expected to see much worse. But, it looked like an average tackle. Crazy things happen in the NFL. Prayers for the Campbell family and their friends.I had to watch a couple times to determine how he even got hurt. It doesn’t look like an abnormal hit/tackle. When I first saw this post my immediate thought was maybe Jack is perfectly well after this and retires to be with his family. not many years ago a high draft choice Wisky Lbkr retired before his first season started, quoted as saying too many head shotsIs this REALLY the thread to be highlighting his earnings? Nobody cares about crap like that right now.....
Probably. Lions have a press conference starting in 2 minutes. Maybe we'll get more info.Maybe waiting for the swelling to go down

Chris Borland. Although, he did play one season in the NFL before retiring.not many years ago a high draft choice Wisky Lbkr retired before his first season started, quoted as saying too many head shots
I know how you feel as far as it is sickening to see this type of thing happen to anyone. We as fans have to realize that these players love to play, are very competitive, love the competition and even college players get paid now. And it happens all the time because life is a big risk. Driving a car, walking along a street with no sidewalks, etc etc. So now we can only hope he is fine.Does anyone else just feel kind of sick about this? His head got pushed back quite a bit and a hard hit but the worse type of hit is when the head is down and not up as many years ago a report in SI magazine detailed that type of hit causing paralysis in a few NFL and college players, one was Nick Buoniconti's son playing for the Citadel.I had to watch a couple times to determine how he even got hurt. It doesn’t look like an abnormal hit/tackle. That might be why it is sort of getting to me.
Let’s hope so.His head got pushed back quite a bit and a hard hit but the worse type of hit is when the head is down and not up as many years ago a report in SI magazine detailed that type of hit causing paralysis in a few NFL and college players, one was Nick Buoniconti's son playing for the Citadel.
Ok, one year. The NFL is so much faster and bigger. yikesChris Borland. Although, he did play one season in the NFL before retiring.
107 tackles
2 INTs
1 sack
All-Rookie Team
He had just two known concussions but after reading up in them decided to retire.
Hell walking ON the sidewalk, like Ava Jones and her family..I know how you feel as far as it is sickening to see this type of thing happen to anyone. This. I was watching live and then the replays and I'm still shocked that it's at this point for JC. There were two other plays in that game off the top of my head that were much, much more violent than the play with Campbell.I had to watch a couple times to determine how he even got hurt. It doesn’t look like an abnormal hit/tackle. That might be why it is sort of getting to me.
I actually thought when he didn't move it might have just been that he was knocked out. Hoping for the best.....His head got pushed back quite a bit and a hard hit but the worse type of hit is when the head is down and not up as many years ago a report in SI magazine detailed that type of hit causing paralysis in a few NFL and college players, one was Nick Buoniconti's son playing for the Citadel.
We are all hoping with his head up doing a form tackle that he escapes without any permanent damage. The info below immediately mentions head down spearing as a major problemLet’s hope so.
Edit: meaning having his head up helped to keep this from being some sort of permanent thing.
Wish they would have said he's got feeling and movement in all of his extremities, but definitely good news!I feel like this is about as positive of news as we can possibly hope for at this time.
