Changing cities for the draft is one of the best moves by the NFL maybe ever; I love the local fans, celebrities, and former players who come out for it. Would love to go to this too. Gonna start a petition to let Pittsburgh Dad announce one of the Steeler picks.

I will be there as well. Although, all the hotels are sold out as I checked after the announcement. I may have to stay in State College and commute. My daughter will be a senior next year so that wouldn't be a bad thing. She's a huge Steeler fan as well. On another note, it would be cool if that's the weekend of the Blue White game and we can pull a twofer.

The drive out to Pittsburgh from Altoona on 22 is not too bad these days.

I hope they tank this season then pick their QB at home during the draft. But they'll probably pick another OLB because the Standard is the Standard, Steeler Way, blah blah blah...

I wanted them to tank last year to get one of the rookies we see doing well right now.

Years ago, we took the kids to a Little League World Series game on a Saturday, grabbed dinner in State College, stayed overnight in Altoona, then drove to Pittsburgh for the Steelers vs. Packers preseason game. We almost checked out the Pirates game that night as we stayed at the hotel across the street, but we all got cooked in the sun that day. Took the kids to the strip district and the incline the next day. Good times!

I may check out the Altoona hotel situation, even if it's just for Thursday night. Edit: They are sold out as well, except for Bnb's. Possible that the hotels won't book out that far I suppose?

Mike T said in a press conference near the end of the season that he was tired of Boswell being the offensive player of the week most weeks.
