Muppet Star Trek was the worst episode EVER.

This weeks Strange New Worlds was a pure shark jumping episode. You have Spock's stupid clone twin in this series. There is no way that sniveling dubmass becomes Mr Spock. This whole season has been disappointing so far with a Jurassic Park episode then a Ghost Ship episode and now this Muppets in Space debacle.

The whole show has taken a nosedive the last couple of seasons, which is a shame, because for a while it was the clear bright spot of modern Trek.

You nailed it on Theme Season…
I thought the film Noir show was bad also. I thought the shore leave episode was funny until I realized how much it reminded me of The Hangover and DUDE, where is my car?

This whole season has been a disappointment.

I've really enjoyed the series for being a good lead up to TOS. But this episode is the worst Star Trek I've ever seen, ever. And that includes the many bad Discovery ones that I stopped watching. Why did they subject the actors to do that and then publish it? Absolutely horrific, and could be enough to sink the series. How do you go from the Gorn episodes to that? Mind-blowing.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW

I guess I'm caught up. Just watched the Uhura Othello (white & black) holes episode.

This season has been er...interesting.

The Muppet one was mainly bad because nothing happened. None of the characters' (or ship's or Federation's) stories or relationships moved forward. Look they're Muppets, now they're not.

Take the soap opera one for example. It was definitely dumb, and a little humorous "space madness!", but Pike had to confront & deal with his daughter's memories & departure/non-existence.

The missing shuttle at least addressed Scotty's & Ortegas' beef; which, albeit, seemed to be created out of thin air just one episode prior.

Every iteration of Trek has a Noir/Nazi/Occupation/Resistance episode or several.

I didn't hate Discovery as much as I expected to, after being warned here. Sure there were some ideologies being pushed, but the cast & characters were good...with one glaring exception.

Michael Burnham was just a wholly unlikable protagonist.

Ok, nerd cap off. Gotta kill the first of 3 tigers tonight.

This last one sucked with the continuation of the fairy tale from a different Q species. I actually stopped watching the episode. It took me two days later to finish it just because I had to. They have got to stop with this alternate reality crap.
