Hope you got 223 round with that coyotes name on it.
I had a coyote attack one of my mares and her 6month old foal In the middle of the day. I showed up at the barn I guess just in time. I could tell the mare was very upset. She had a bite and pull down on her shoulder and foal bite on the leg. When saw all this I looked out across the pasture and there was a coyote trotting across. Did not have my 260 rifle with me. Just a 22 over a 20gauge my snake gun.
I don't know if you noticed, but if you look closely, you can see a coyote in the bottom with a fawn in its mouth.

Before this last weekend I would've been sickened by this pic, but after watching Coyote vs Acme I have developed a softer side for Wile E.

Speaking of this fawn... any of you Madison County SPSers seeing a lot of deer lately (more than usual this time of year)? I usually see a decent amount on the roads to my house, or in the woods in the neighborhood around dusk. But lately multiple times I'm outside and they're traipsing through my yard at noon when it's 100 out. Seems unusual.

There's a ton of them on Rice Road on either side of St. Augustine. I'm thinking that new development at the corner of Rice Road and Madison Avenue pushed a ton of them out.
My son recently had that happen except it was live action right in front of him. Walked up on the coyote with the fawn head in mouth. Needless to say, the coyote suffered a severe case of lead poisoning.
I'm overrun with deer up here in west TN and sick of them. I can't even have a garden anymore because of them. My two relatively large dogs used to run them off. One day they decided to sniff a newborn out in the pasture, and momma doe didn't take to kindly to it. After getting stomped and stitched back up, neither pay them any attention anymore. Now the deer just roam all over my place. I blast them with a 12 gage and bird shot on a regular basis just to run them off, but they come right back. They're so dumb. I'm not a hunter. But last year I was so fed up with them I shot at one for the first time with the intentions of killing it. Now that particular 8pt is on the wall and in the freezer and not in my yard. It's a start, but just a drop in the bucket.
UGA did a study on how many fawns a single female coyote would kill in a year. In one den they found the remains of 19 fawns from one year.
Why would anyone "like" this except for some sort of psycho killer or maybe a coyote?
It's an interesting picture and unique but I don't like it.
I live on almost 3 acres in what is actually a bunch of neighborhoods with large lots in Olive Branch. There is still some farmland near us and I have a group of deer in my yard all the time. I have a trail camera in the back but have never had a large buck captured on it. I also had a momma deer chase my 60lb shepherd mix dog where I had to run out of my shop and chase her off last year. I got a crossbow but have never used it.
No matter what I am hunting, the moment I see a coyote it becomes a coyote hunt. I get them so close to the house I shoot a couple each year with a .22 pistol.
I liked it because in my experience with trail cam pics that’s a pretty unique thing to see. And it’s something that happens every single day all over the country, just not in front of us or our cameras.
Obviously the coyote and their offspring have to eat, and they can’t live on plants.
It doesn’t warm my heart, but I don’t mind seeing it occasionally.
Probably about as much like one as whatever generates most of those stories.

I think it's a cool pic and not something you see every day. I can still not "like" it in the sense of feeling pleased by it or enjoy it.
My neighbor had a video of a bobcat dragging a whole deer . I’m trying to get him to send to me, I’ll try and post. Was really unbelievable.
